Babe Ruth’s Last Victim, Guy Bush

On May 25, 1935, Babe Ruth hit three very long home runs -- the last ones of his magnificent career. The third and final one traveled 600 feet and was the only ball ever to clear the right field grandstand at Forbes Field. (The field is now the site of a University of Pittsburgh library and dorms.) The Babe hit his final two homers off a pitcher named Guy Bush. Here’s a vintage photograph of Bush from the mid-1930s.
