The Red Button
Watercolor Day

Fellow L.A. singer-songwriter, Mike Ruekberg and I made this record of 11 songs in the tradition of our favorite music from the 1960s – melodic, pop music that makes you feel good and want to sing.
We call ourselves The Red Button and the album's called She's About To Cross My Mind. Check out some clips in the player.

Some Reviews

"Cruel Girl" picked by Little Steven as The Coolest Song In The World This Week on the syndicated Little Steven's Underground Garage.

"If The Red Button had been around in the '60s when I was producing, I would have signed them to EMI."
- Norman "Hurricane" Smith, Beatles engineer (1962-1966) and record producer (Pink Floyd, Zombies) for EMI

"It's all here: Merseybeat, bubblegum, psychedelia, and folk-pop. Swirsky and Ruekberg can now wear their rightful crown as the Holsapple/Stamey of The New Millennium".
- David Bash, Pop Music Journalist (Amplifier, Shindig)
Founder/CEO: The International Pop Overthrow Music Festival.

"She's About to Cross My Mind is a marvelous distillation of all things jangly and Beatley and is certainly a (very) early contender for my 2007 top 10. This is old-school, guitar-based, sway-along-and-smile pop music the way that God and Paul McCartney must have intended."
- John Borack, Goldmine Magazine.

"She's About to Cross My Mind" is the new soundtrack to the old Swinging London! Solid from start to finish! From the opener "Cruel Girl", each hook-filled song is drenched in seemingly familiar, Beatles-like melodies and chord changes - jangly, ringing, guitars, and wonderful harmonies! We just hope we're having as much fun listening to it as Seth and Mike probably had creating it! We just have to stop ourselves from playing it too much! Not a bad problem to have! Can't say enough about this one!

- Ray Gianchetti, Kool Kat Musik.

One of the *best* cds for 2007, fans of 60's songcraft look no further. This cd delivers hit after hit from the song school of The Beatles, Jellyfish, The Merrymakers, Fountains of Wayne, The Spongetones, The Hollies, and all the way fab 60's pop rock in general. This wonderful disc comes in a beautiful digi pack with smart retro 60's art too. It's a high class, grade A release from start to finish. All the songs are catchy as can be.
